A Christmas Story Pink Nightmare Lunch School Lunch Recipe

If you've been around awhile, you know that one of my family's favorite Christmas movies is A Christmas Story. It is a classic and if you've never watched it, stop reading this, watch the entire thing, then come back for this recipe. I'll wait. Ok, you're all caught up now, good. I make my kids an A Christmas Story lunch every year and always try to add something new. This year I added a "You'll shoot your eye out" part of the lunch!

So this week they all received this lunch and then we set up our A Christmas Story lighted village while watching the movie. Every seasonal ceramic scene is out of the movie or book. Did I mention my son was also wearing the Pink Nightmare Bunny suit while we did all of this? Because he was. Keep reading to find out how to make it and what ingredients I used!

Ingredients: Your child's favorite sandwich, tortilla, green spinach tortilla, strawberry cream cheese, black food coloring, oreo cookie, black fondant, yogurt covered raisins, raisins, Babybel cheese.

Directions:

1. Cut Ralphie's Pink Nightmare suit out of a tortilla. Spread strawberry cream cheese on top. Put tortilla circle on top of cream cheese and use black food coloring or black food coloring marker to draw the glasses. Cut tree shape out of green tortilla.

2. Place your child's favorite sandwich in main compartment of lunchbox. Top with tree and bunny suit.

3. Take top cookie off of Oreo. Place fondant glasses on top of frosting. Use black food coloring or black fondant to make a crack in one lens. Put in side compartment with yogurt-covered raisins.

4. Cut circles out of Babybel Cheese and place them on top of cheese like a target. Place on top of raisins in side compartment. Optionally you can add a Red Ryder sign made from tortilla and red food coloring.
