How to Make a Tic-Tac-Toe I Love You Valentine's Day Lunch Recipe

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and there is no better time to send your kids a love note in their lunch. Better yet, why not make your kid's lunch into a love note? The hearts in each compartment can be a fun touch to add to any lunch recipe. Don't feel like you need to do it all, just focus on one part of this Valentine's Day food art recipe and have fun with it! Easy instructions are below.

Ingredients: Whole wheat bread, slices meat, sliced cheese, dried cranberries, strawberries, orange, red apple.

Directions:

1. Use a small circle cutter to make nine holes in a piece of bread. You could also use a knife to make the holes. Place this bread on top of a second piece with meat and cheese in the middle.

2. Top sandwich with four piece of cheese cut into lines to make a tic-tac-toe board. Place heart candy in the holes for a tic-tac-toe game. Put in main compartment of lunchbox.

3. Cut the stem off a strawberry and then cut it in half. Cut each half into the shape of a heart as shown. Place on top of dried cranberries in the side compartment.

4. Cut an orange in half and then use a heart shaped cutter or a knife to make a heart. Cut the same shape and size heart out of an apple and slide it into the middle of the orange. The juice from the orange will keep the apple from browning. Place in second side compartment.
