The holidays are busy but making a Snoopy Christmas lunch is practically a tradition in our house! Do you watch a Charlie Brown Christmas? Snoopy and the Peanuts gang always bring such joy to this time of year. This bento food art lunch can help bring even more Christmas spirit so here is how to make it with your kids.
I start with cutting Snoopy out of tortillas. You can even print out a picture of him and use it as a guide to make it easier. I also used food coloring markers to make all the black features on Snoopy as well as the red collar. Then I stuffed the inside with sliced meat and cheese. The Santa hat is made with red bell pepper and cream cheese. I put the Snoopy sandwich on top of holiday-themed pretzels that I found at our local grocery store.
In the first side compartment, I cut Babybel cheese into the shape of Snoopy's doghouse and put it on top of a holiday trail mix. I used bits of fondant for the Christmas lights.
In the second side compartment, I put grape tomatoes and folded a sliced cucumber onto a toothpick for the tree shape. Enjoy your holiday season with your family!
