Back-to-school time can be out of this world but so can your child's school lunch! This fun and easy space alien school lunch recipe will make them the star of their lunch table. I paired this Dandy celery alien with a planetary sandwich and green alien ooze yogurt.
The heroes of this lunch are Dandy celery sticks. My kids love them with cream cheese and also without. But that is why I love packing Dandy celery sticks in their lunch, they are so refreshing and versatile. These sticks are high in crunch and low in calories to make a great addition to any school lunchbox. Keep reading to find out how to make this tasty alien that your kids will devour!
Ingredients: Dandy Celery Sticks, Dandy Sweet Corn, Dandy Ready Radishes, cream cheese, cheddar cheese slices, black olives, whole wheat bread, sliced turkey, white cheese, greek yogurt, green food coloring, optional star-shaped sprinkles.
Directions:
1. Cut celery sticks to desired length to fit in main compartment of lunchbox. You will need three sticks for the eyes, one for the body, two for arms, and two for legs. If your child likes cream cheese, fill some of the sticks with it. Cream cheese also helps the alien pieces to stick together. Arrange pieces on top of corn.
2. Slice radish into four circles. Cut cheddar cheese into three circles and two mouth pieces with teeth. Place pieces where shown in picture and finish eyes with black olives.
3. In one side compartment place two circles of bread with desired sandwich filling, such as turkey, inside. Top with a circle of white cheese and cheddar cheese rings to finish the planet sandwich.
4. In second side compartment mix yogurt with green food coloring to create the alien ooze.
