Juicy Juice

It's that time of year again. You know what I'm talking about. Boots and scarfs awake from their summer slumber, school is back in full-force, everything is pumpkin spice, the leaves magically change, apples become the go-to-fruit, and football takes over the weekends. Fall really is a fantastic few months! In order to properly celebrate this season, I had to make this Fall Football Lunch complete with a side of Juicy Juice 100% Juice. If you are going to experience Fall, you need to do it right!

Each one of the elements of this lunch symbolizes something fun for our family. First of all, we love collecting multicolored leaves to create beautiful crafts. Kids can do incredibly creative things with them. Football is also a favorite in our house. I would brag about our team, but let's just say that there's not much to brag about right now. It's still fun to make a no-bake football granola bar though.

Our family also is susceptible to the lure of all the pumpkin spice flavored food as well. That's why we came up with the idea of a yogurt bar where our kids could load this side dish up with the Fall toppings of their choice. Since this time of year is also known for all things apple, no Fall themed lunch would be complete without Juicy Juice 100% Juice, Apple flavor! We feel good about using Juicy Juice because it is 100% real juice with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners. Check out the recipe below for how I made this lunch!

Juicy JuiceIngredients: Juicy Juice 100% Juice, Apple flavor, whole wheat bread, sliced cheddar cheese, sliced white cheese, favorite sandwich filling, gala apples, green grapes (or other green fruit or veggies), 1/2 cup dried cranberries, 1 1/3 cup oatmeal, 1/2 cup nut-free spread, 1/4 cup honey, white icing, 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, greek yogurt, Fall themed toppings such as cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, almonds, pumpkin seeds, etc.

Directions:
1. Make a sandwich using your child's favorite filling (I used meat to go with the cheese leaves) and place in main compartment.

2. Use small leaf shaped cutters to create leaves out of cheese and apple. Alternately, you could just cut them out freehand, but you can easily find the cutters at your local craft store or at a major online retailers. Arrange pile of "leaves" on top of sandwich to give it a "Fall feel."

3. For the no-bake football granola bars, mix 1/4 cup dried cranberries, oatmeal, nut-free spread, chocolate chips, and honey in a bowl. Make into round balls and place on wax paper. Put wax paper in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Take out and make round balls into football shape and put back on wax paper. Use a very small amount of white icing to draw the laces on top of each football.

4. Drop grapes (or other green fruit or veggie) into side compartment. This gives it a grass field look. Top with one football shaped granola bar.

5. Spoon yogurt into other side compartment. Let your kids decide which toppings to put on. This way they get to make the decision and they are more likely to eat it!

6. Make sure to include a box of Juicy Juice 100% Juice, Apple flavor on the side. If your kids prefer something else, Juicy Juice makes sixteen flavors, but I like the apple because it goes with the theme of the lunch.

I hope you and your family enjoy your Fall as much as we do! Just remember to fill this season with lots of great fun, football, pumpkin spice, and plenty of memories!
