Easter Cadbury Creme Eggs and Reese's Peanut Butter Creme Egg Croissant Bombs Recipe

If you're looking for an easy Easter dessert recipe that your family will ask for over and over, look no further. I created these Cadbury Egg and Reese's Egg Bombs this year and they might be the tastiest Easter treat I've ever made. All you need are three ingredients and your family will ask you to make these year after year. Thankfully for my waistline, the chocolate eggs are hard to find except around Easter. 

I baked this recipe in an air fryer but you can probably make them in an oven as well. The secret to these chocolate Easter egg croissant bombs is to make sure that whatever egg you use is completely frozen. I put mine in overnight but they might be frozen enough in a few hours. If you don't freeze them, they will melt and ooze out all over. Now to show you how to easily make these.

Easter kids lunch
Week 25: The Easter Bunny.  I wanted to do an Easter themed lunch this week for my daughter and also give you readers some inspiration for lunches of your own.  I was reminded this week that even if you don't have school age children, these ideas can be great for birthday parties, play dates, and more.  I tried to incorporate bunny and egg themes into this lunch to make it festive.  Have a fun Easter!

Ingredients

2 pieces of sourdough or white bread
1 serving peanut butter and jelly
2 raisins
1 dried cranberry
2 baby carrots, cut in half
4 very small pieces of broccoli
1 handful of fresh spinach
6-8 yogurt-covered raisins
8-10 grapes
1 Tbsp. fat-free cream cheese and strawberry cream cheese
3-4 colors of food color markers or regular food coloring


Directions
  1. Use cookie cutter to make rabbit shape from two pieces of bread.  Spread peanut butter and jelly on bread and press together to make a sandwich.  This sandwich would also work with cheese and lunch meat.
  2. Dip two raisins in cream cheese and place on rabbit face to make eyes.  Repeat with dried cranberry for the nose.  Use a small amount of black food coloring on a toothpick to draw the mouth.  Spread strawberry cream cheese on each ear for decoration.
  3. Cover the bottom half of your container with spinach leaves.  Put the rabbit sandwich in the middle of the container with the bottom of the sandwich touching the bottom of the container.
  4. Place four baby carrot pieces vertically along the bottom of container on either side of the sandwich.  They should look like they are growing out of the ground.  Put a very small piece of broccoli on top of each carrot for the leaves on top.
  5. Cut grapes in half and use them as a background on the upper part of your container.  Use food color to decorate yogurt-covered raisins so they look like Easter eggs.  Scatter them around the sandwich on top of the grapes.  Finish by having fun serving and eating it!
