I don't think that you can ever make too many The Nightmare Before Christmas recipes in the time period leading up to Halloween and finishing at Christmas. So go crazy. Make 5, 10, or even one every day. I guarantee that your kids won't mind either. I think this is my third of the season and I hope to make a couple more.
This school lunch recipe includes Jack Skellington made from rice (with protein underneath), ghost chips on the side, and an Oreo cookie swirled mountain from the movie in the other side compartment. Keep reading to find out my tips on how to make this lunch for your kids.
Ingredients: White rice, meat, orange sweet peppers, nori, ghost (or other Halloween-shaped) chips, raisins, oreo cookies, purple fondant.
Directions:
1. Place meat in main compartment and top with white rice. Arrange orange sweet pepper pieces in a circle. Cut Jack's facial features out of nori and place on top of rice.
2. Put ghost chips in side compartment.
3. In second side compartment place Oreo cookies with an open one on top with frosting side up. Surround with raisins. Create swirly purple hill using fondant.
