When I was growing up, there wasn't a show or a toy that I enjoyed more than Transformers. The idea that a car, plane, or boombox could turn into a robot ready for battle was pretty much the coolest thing imaginable. My friends and I would play with our Transformers robots for hours on end. One of my favorite Transformers robots that I owned was the Dinobot leader Grimlock, but of course, Soundwave and his cassette tape Decepticons were hard to beat. The ultimate dream was always to collect every Destructicon to build the mighty Devastator!
While I have passed on my love of Transformers to my kids, we have never taken the opportunity to watch the animated series together until now. We have obviously taken Bumblebee into battle and had imaginary clashes over Cybertron on the living room floor. However, there is something about watching the show together that helps the story come to life.
