Wonder Park After-School Snack Ideas!

If your family is like our family, you all love amusement parks and love movies! We go on rides and head to theaters to see the latest family film every chance we get. This is why we can't wait until Wonder Park comes out on March 15! We have watched the trailer at least a dozen times, so it is pretty much engrained in my kids' heads. Inspired by the film, I made this fun after-school snack idea. You can share this snack platter with your kids while you all watch the trailer below together!

Wonder Park is about a girl named June who imagines an amazing amusement park and magically brings it to life with some help from her new animal friends. The character that makes us laugh the most has to be Boomer the big blue bear, so this snack idea features him at the top of a roller coaster. He is just so hilarious that I'm pretty sure once we see the movie itself, he will definitely be our favorite. Meet Boomer in the video below and then keep scrolling to see how to make this fun after-school snack!

Ingredients: Whole wheat bread slices, cream cheese, blue and black food coloring, banana, blueberries, sliced white cheese, whole wheat tortilla, a tiny amount of fondant for eyes and mouth (black, white, brown).

Directions:
1. Cut one slice of bread into the shape of Boomer's body and one into the shape of his head. Use scraps to make the brown part of his ears, nose, and muzzle.

2. Mix a few drops of blue food coloring into cream cheese until desired shade is created. Spread blue cream cheese on the two pieces of bread and then arrange the scraps to make the facial features. Form fondant to make the eyes and mouth. You will only need a very small amount. Place eyes and mouth on face.

3. Cut piece of banana for roller coaster car and draw black stripes on. You can use black food coloring or food coloring marker on the banana and also Boomer's nose for the nostrils. Arrange bear and banana in the middle of the serving platter.

4. Build roller coaster tracks below the banana. Cut whole wheat tortilla into a half circle and multiple strips. Optionally, tortilla strips can be baked in oven at 350˚ for 3-4 minutes. This will make the tortilla strips crispy if desired. Arrange tracks as shown.

5. Surround bear with blueberries and cut sliced white cheese into the shape of clouds. Place them on top of the blueberries.

6. Serve to your family as you watch the Wonder Park trailer!

Since Wonder Park comes out on March 15, you don't have long to wait, but hopefully this recipe will help the time go by fast. Make sure to check out the film's fun website and let me know what character is your family's favorite!
