How to Make a Fall Winnie-The-Pooh Food Art Pizza School Lunch

Why does fall always remind me of Winnie-the-Pooh? I think it's the idea of a blustery day with fallen leaves blowing in a gust of wind. Or maybe it's Pooh with his red balloon or head stuck in a honey pot muttering, "Oh bother." Whatever the adventure in the Hundred Acre Wood, it always puts a smile on my face and takes me back to my childhood. This is why I love to make this simple Winnie-the-Pooh pizza for my kids because maybe it will put a smile on their faces also.

Whoever your favorite character from the stories is, Pooh Bear is probably near the top. His lovable innocence and knack for getting himself into tight spots always leaves every reader saying, "silly old bear." If you think your kids will love an easy school lunch based on these books, movies, and T.V. shows, my directions are below.

Ingredients: Bread, pizza, sauce, cheddar cheese, black olives, strawberries, fall-themed chips, apple, grape tomatoes, Babybel cheese.

Directions:
1. Cut one large circle and two tiny circles out of bread and cheese. Spread pizza sauce on the bread and top with cheese. Place the two tiny circles at the top of the big circle to make Pooh's head and ears.

2. Cut eyes, nose, and eyebrows out of black olives. You can put the olives on top of the face before or after cooking. I usually do it after while the cheese is still hot and melty.

3. Bake in oven at 350° for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted. While pizza is cooking cut two strawberries in half lengthwise. Place in main compartment of lunch box along with leaf-shaped chips. I get them every year at Trader Joes. When cool, put Pooh pizza on top as shown.

4. In one side compartment place grape tomatoes and Babybel cheese. Cut a little triangle out of the back of the wax and insert it into a hole you cut into the bottom of the cheese. This will complete the red balloon.

5. In second side compartment place apple slices shaped like leaves. I used vegetable cutters to make it easy and rubbed them with lemon wedges to stop the browning.
