Lucky the Leprechaun St. Patrick's Day Food Art Lunch Recipe

There's something about St. Patrick's Day that is just magical for me and my family. I love the shamrocks, the pots of gold, the leprechauns, and the food! Call me crazy but I love corned beef and cabbage too. In fact, that is a St. Patrick's Day non-negotiable dinner tradition for my family. But I also always have fun making food art lunches that celebrate this time of year.

I thought it was time to honor one of the most recognizable icons of St. Patrick's Day, Lucky the Leprechaun. I wanted to theme it to Lucky Charms but also make most of the lunch on the healthier side. So here is my lunch recipe for my kids that brings some magically delicious fun to their school day!

Ingredients: Flour tortilla, spinach tortilla, sliced turkey, pepperoni, cheddar cheese, white cheese, nori, grapes, raspberries, carrots, corn, celery, Lucky Charms cereal.

Directions:

1. Cut tortilla, cheese, nori, and meat into shapes shown above. I also cut circles of meat, cheese, and tortilla and placed them below the face of Lucky to make the bulk of the sandwich. Assemble pieces to form Lucky's head and glue them together with cream cheese if necessary. Surround with green grapes.

2. In one side compartment arrange red, orange, yellow, and green food. I used raspberries, carrots, fresh corn kernels, and celery sticks. These will make a rainbow.

3. In the smallest side compartment pour in some Lucky Charms. Serve and your kids will love it!
