Ever since these new Quaker Dipps Sloth-Tastic bars came in the door my kids have been begging to have them again and again. They love them! These granola bars are made with 100% whole grains and other delicious ingredients, dipped and drizzled with vanilla cream. Don't get me wrong they taste pretty darn good but as a parent what I love is that Quaker is partnering with AdoptAClassroom.org.
Sloth Lunch Recipe
Ingredients: Quaker Chewy Dipps Sloth-Tastic bar, green apple, dried mango, raisins, three different shades of bread, white cheese, lunch meat.
Directions:
1. Place Quaker Chewy Dipps Sloth-Tastic bar on a plate for the tree trunk. I bent mine slightly to look like the tree was curved. Cut green apple pieces into the shape of leaves. I used a vegetable cutter to make it easy but you could use a knife as well. Arrange around the Quaker Chewy Dipps Sloth-Tastic bar.
2. Cut two pieces of whole wheat bread into the shape of a circle. Place lunch meat and cheese (as well as any other sandwich filling that your kids love) between the two circles. This is the sloth's head.
3. Top with a lighter shade of bread that is cut into the shape of a circular heart. This will be the sloth's face. Use a dark wheat piece of bread to make the mouth, nose, eyes, and little tuft of hair on top. Finish by cutting two small slivers of white cheese for the eyelids. Arrange as shown in the photo above.
4. Make dried fruit butterflies using dried mango for the wings and raisins for the bodies and antennae. Place anywhere around the sloth.
Have fun with a sloth this back to season and don't forget to pick up a box or two of Quaker Chewy Dipps Sloth-Tastic bars at the store and enter those UPC codes at QuakerBacktoSchool.com to nominate your school for a chance to win!
