easy lunch boxes

I think my kids could go for a Star Wars lunch pretty much any day of the week. In fact, if it was socially acceptable for my son to wear Star Wars clothes and/or costumes wherever he went, he would drape himself in them. Last year we tried to get my kids to dress in Back to the Future costumes with us. Would they do it? Nope. What did they want to be? Star Wars of course. My daughter was Princess Leia and my son only wanted to be Kylo Ren. Can you relate at all? Well, I figured it was time to make my son a Kylo Ren lunch. It was actually pretty simple. See how I did it below!

Ingredients: Whole wheat bread slices, dried blueberries, nut-free spread, low fat cream cheese, strawberries, blackberries, pretzel sticks, red fruit roll, Star Wars themed crackers, black and grey Wilton's Shape N Amaze edible modeling dough.

Directions:
1. Cut two slices of bread into a helmet shape. It is similar to a bell. Apply nut-free spread on one piece and cover with dried blueberries. Raisins will also work, but I like dried blueberries because they look black. Apply cream cheese to other slice of bread and stack underneath to make a sandwich.

2. Use a small amount of Wilton's Shape N Amaze edible dough to make Kylo Ren's mask. You can create a grey color by mixing white with a very small amount of black. Place on top of sandwich. Put sandwich on top of sliced strawberries in main compartment.

3. Drop in blackberries in side compartment. Wrap fruit roll around pretzel stick. Wrap two more small pieces around shorter piece of pretzel. Place shorter piece on top of longer piece to make Kylo's lightsaber. Put on blackberries.

4. In second side compartment drop in Star Wars themed crackers.
