How to Make a Halloween Frankenstein School Lunch Idea

Halloween is just around the corner and every parent needs an easy school lunch idea to celebrate, right? Well, this recipe will be short and spooky for you so you can get back to planning your parties and trick-or-treating.

Frankenstein is a fun monster to make because he is super simple and easily recognizable. Also, one of the great things about Halloween is that there are so many snacks to include in the lunch that are premade for you from the grocery store.

Ingredients: Halloween-shaped pretzels, chips and cookies, dried mango, raisins, spinach wrap tortilla, nori, cheese, sliced turkey, black olives.

For this lunch, I used Halloween-shaped pretzels, fall-themed leaf chips, and a pumpkin-themed cookie. I also went for a black and orange color theme with dried mango and raisins.

For the Frankenstein sandwich, I started with spinach wrap tortillas because they are green. I cut them in the head shape and then used the first one as a template to cut out more so that it could be a multi-layered sandwich. I used tortilla scraps to make the ears. Then I stuffed it with slices of cheese and turkey.

The eyes were made of cheese and olives. I pinned them down with a toothpick. Frankie's mouth and hair are made of nori which is a dried seaweed snack. It sticks really well to the top of the tortilla.

I also was sent these super fun lunch notes from My Luvkins to try out and I finally had a chance to work them into my kids' lunches. Each child got one and I was really impressed with them! They come in packs and have a variety of themes and designs.

Let me know if you make this lunch and what other fun Halloween-shaped food you find in stores to use!
