How to Make a Disney Onward Food Art School Lunch

We just saw the Disney Pixar movie Onward this weekend and had such a great time! We had watched so many previews for it and couldn't wait for it to come out. It dealt with many deep issues but also had some hilarious parts. I especially loved how it showed us the close relationship between the two brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, played by Tom Holland and Christ Pratt.

While I was experiencing the movie with my family, I couldn't help but notice all of the elements that I could use to make my kids a lunch. From the colors in the movie poster, to the wizard staff, to cheesy puffs, I tried to include as many as I could. Keep reading to find out how to make this lunch for your own kids!

Ingredients: Your kids' favorite sandwich, flour tortilla, blueberries, blur food coloring, cream cheese, white cheese, nori, sweet peppers, strawberries, cheese puffs, different colors of fondant, yellow round candy, fruit leather.

Directions:
1. Make your child's favorite sandwich. Place in main compartment. Cut tortilla into Ian's head shape. Also cut out a nose, neck, and pointy ears. Mix cream cheese with blue food coloring and spread on flour tortilla pieces.

2. Place tortilla pieces on sandwich as shown. Arrange blueberries as hair on Ian's head. They will stick in place because of the cream cheese. Cut eye shapes out of white cheese, bread crust, and nori. Put in place along with nori mouth. Finish with strawberries for his shirt.

3. Surround sandwich with red and yellow sweet pepper strips. They are a nod to the movie poster.

4. In first side compartment put cheese puffs, like the snacks Ian and Barley get on their quest and use later on. I won't give the rest away. Shape brown fondant into the wizard staff with the yellow Phoenix Gem in the middle. Put on top of puffs.

5. In second side compartment drop in fruit background. Cut fruit leather into the shape of the front half of Guinevere, Barley's van. Cover in a thin layer of purple fondant and then add the van's other features with a small amount of black, orange, and white fondant.
